MMA Finishes from the weekend.

Here we go again ladies and gentlemen the MMA finishes of the week I think everyone should see. I will be focusing on Bellator 233 which took place friday night at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. I will also highlight UFC Moscow which went down Saturday morning at the CSKA Arena. So let’s get to it!

Bellator 233

Christian Edwards Def Cesar Bennett by head kick KO

This was a very impressive finish from the newest JacksonWink product Christian Edwards. Leading up to the fight he was saying we needed to look out for him by next year they’ll be talking about title contention. Personally, hes 2-0 lets pump the breaks, but still a phenomenal finish.

Tyrell fortune Def Zu Anyanwu by KO/TKO

Tyrell Fortune is looking like a problem in the Bellator Heavyweight division. He continues his impressive streak with a beautiful KO/TKO finish against the Contender Series veteran Zu Anyanwu. Fortune is now on a four fight win streak and has put everyone on notice.

Andrew Kapel Def King Mo by KO/TKO

This I fully believe was a set up fight for King Mo to retire on top with a victory. Well, unfortunately that didn’t happen King Mo was swinging for the fences, caught a kick, and went for the take down running into the punch and getting knocked out. Thank you King Mo for everything you did for MMA. I guess good finish Andrew Kapel keep it up make me and everyone else a believer.

UFC Moscow

David Zawada Def Abubakar Nurmagomedov by Sub

This was the first finish of the card and I didn’t believe in Zawada here. Abubakar Nurmagomedov is Khabibs cousin and he was in his hometown, and had his father in his corner. That didn’t stop Zawada from getting the finish off his back and submitting Abubakar.

Karl Roberson Def Roman Kopylov by Sub

Karl Roberson is another one of those Contender Series veterans who has looked good, but has also looked bad. We got the good Roberson here. He beat Kopylov every round mixed in some legs hit him with some powerful lefts. Roman Kopylov looked scared out there in my opinion he definitely had some octagon jitters. Karl Roberson eventually shoots for the takedown gets him down and submits him.

Magomed Ankalaev Def Dalcha Lungiambula by KO/TKO

These were two huge dudes throwing heavy leather, Magomed had the more crisp striking and was really landing some powerful shots. Towards the end of the second round Magomed turned it on throwing everything he could at Dalcha, and eventually fired a BEAUTIFUL front kick which sent Dalcha to outer space.

Danny Roberts Def Zelim Imadaev by KO/TKO

I didn’t think Danny Roberts had any chance surviving the first round let alone getting the knock out finish. That just goes to show you can’t write people off immediately just because they continue to get knocked unless they’re Luke Rockhold, or Chris Weidman.
